Caring Kitchen Volunteers
Help make our kitchen warm and welcoming! Our kitchen, probably just like yours, is the one place in the House where everyone gathers, therefore, it requires a lot of love and care. We need volunteers who will assist in our kitchen and dining room area by visiting with families, making fresh coffee, organizing and tidying the kitchen and pantry, and orienting groups providing dinner for our families.

Development Office Assistance
Volunteers are needed to support our Director of Development and Special Events Manager with our ongoing fundraising efforts. Duties may include filing, phone banking, helping prepare large mailings, online research anymore.

Special Events Volunteers
Help at one of our annual fundraisers or special events. The Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House’s Walk for Kids and MacTonight events are designed to raise funds for the services and programs provided at the House. Help us to make our events a success!

Family Meal Program
Families often spend all day at the hospital and when they return to the House, have no energy to make dinner. Our Family Meal Program allows volunteers to give families a night off by preparing dinner, sharing a meal and cleaning up afterward. The children love meeting new people, and the parents appreciate the chance to relax and enjoy the meal—with no dishes to do!

Family Support Office Assistance
Our front desk is a hub of activity and information. It is here you will greet and interact with families and visitors, answer telephones, handle deliveries, and sort and deliver mail; assure our lobby is clean and welcoming to our many guests, children and families. The office is where our families come to check out movies, books and games, and to get general information about upcoming House activities. With experience and special training this position may expand to giving tours, checking families in and out and assisting the House Manager’s with special projects. Shifts for this position vary.

Van Drivers
We have a new van and we need drivers! Provide relief and excitement to our families by driving our families to local shopping centers and events. Often our families do not have a vehicle when they are in Los Angeles or are new to the area so don't feel comfortable driving. Our families truly appreciate any transportation that our volunteers are able to provide. Shifts for this position vary. Volunteers must be 21 or older, have a driver's license, be insured and provide a 3-year abstract of driving record.
